Level description

Levels at NeverlandSwing welcome dancers of every skill level, so everyone can fully enjoy the WSDC weekend.

How levels work

  • Newcomers classes. Designed for beginners and those new to larger WCS events, the Newcomers classes help you ease into the weekend. They are led by Gordon Mac Donald, a GPDIA Advanced certified instructor, and follow the “Project Swing” initiative, which is proven to bring newcomers to Level 2 and even into the Newcomers competition.
  • Newcomers or Level 2. A Full Pass gives you access to Newcomers or Level 2 without an audition.
  • Level 3 and Level 4. Access is based on your WSDC level or an audition on Saturday morning. Novice points give automatic access to Level 3; Intermediate or Advanced points give access to Level 4.
  • Flexibility. Instructors may suggest moving between levels to keep the quality of training high. Attending workshops one level lower than registered is generally possible, as long as it doesn’t take away from the experience of others at that level.
Auditions: Saturday 26 June, 09:30 – 10:00, for Level 3 and Level 4.
